Anthropic is adding a new feature to its Claude AI assistant that will give users more control over how the chatbot responds to different writing tasks. The new custom styles are available to all Claude AI users,

There are three preset options you can pick from right away. The names are pretty much on the nose. Formal style is for professional, precise responses; Concise is for shorter and direct answers; and Explanatory style is more about explaining and teaching, with extra context and details.

In a new blog post, the team at Anthropic explained that aside from the preset options, Claude can generate a "custom" style for anyone able to upload a chunk of their writing into the model.

The revamped Claude AI also comes with three preset writing styles: Formal, Concise, and Explanatory. The Formal style is meant for clear and polished text, the Concise one for shorter and more direct responses,

Users can now upload pieces of text they would like to imitate, and Claude.ai will create preset writing styles they return to later.

Claude AI is giving you new ways to style and customize the text output. With a recent update, Claude can now analyze a sample of your writing and try to mimic it. You should find a new menu in the Claude text box that lets you “Choose Style.
