The big splash continues for Disney’s “Moana 2,” which earned a massive $54.5 million on Black Friday from 4,200 locations, shattering the $34.1 million record that was notched by “Frozen II” in 2019.

The animated musical adventure "Moana 2" took home first place on Friday, its first day in theaters, with $54.5 million in revenue.

Moana 2' continued its record-breaking box office run, earning $28 million on Thanksgiving, as 'Wicked' and 'Gladiator II' also performed well.
