Jurors resumed deliberations Wednesday and asked to review police and bystander video at the heart of the chokehold manslaughter case against Daniel Penny as well as to hear a readback of testimony.

Deliberations are continuing Wednesday in the trial of Daniel Penny, charged in the chokehold death of Jordan Neely on the subway last year.

Penny’s trial revolves around an altercation on the New York City subway in May of 2023 that was recorded and later went viral, leading to Penny being charged with the manslaughter of Jordan Neely, a 30-year-old Black homeless man and former street performer, after a six-minute-long chokehold.
