INDIA bloc leader Hemant Soren is all set to take oath as Jharkhand Chief Minister for the fourth time today, with the swearing-in ceremony set to offer the INDIA bloc a major platform to showcase its unity and strength as many of its top leaders are expected to be present.

In the recently-concluded Jharkhand Assembly polls, Hemant Soren retained his Barhait seat by defeating BJP candidate Gamliyel Hembrom by more than 39,790 votes. His JMM-led coalition secured a total of 56 seats in the 81-member Assembly.

Hemant Soren-led JMM steered the INDIA bloc to victory with 56 seats in the 81-member Jharkhand assembly. The JMM won 34 seats, while its allies secured 22 seats.

On Tuesday, Soren met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his first visit to the national capital after leading his alliance to an unprecedented second consecutive term.

The oath will be administered to Hemant Soren by governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar at Ranchi's Morabadi Ground at 4pm.

Hemant Soren will take oath as Jharkhand's 14th chief minister on November 28. His JMM-led alliance secured 56 seats in the Assembly, defeating BJP’s NDA, which won 24 seats.

Hemant Soren of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha will be sworn in as the 14th chief minister of Jharkhand on November 28 at Morabadi Ground. Notable attendees include Rahul Gandhi, Mamata Banerjee among others.

Among key political leaders, Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge and Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi are likely to attend Soren's swearing-in ceremony.
