Billionaire Elon Musk is reportedly threatening to finance primary challenges to Republican senators who oppose former Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) as President-elect Donald Trump's attorney general. ABC's Selina Wang reported Thursday that an unnamed Trump advisor confirmed the news to correspondent Jonathan Karl.

Shortly after Trump announced the Gaetz nomination on Wednesday, Musk noted on X that both have accused the government of targeting them with politically motivated investigations, and suggested that retribution is at hand. "The Hammer of Justice is coming," Musk said.
