Trump has threatened to impose tariff on all Canadian and Mexican goods unless both countries secured their shared borders with the US.

Ontario has launched a multimillion-dollar U.S. ad campaign touting economic and cultural ties between the province and its southern neighbour as Canada faces the threat of 25 per cent tariffs enacted by president-elect Donald Trump.

Over the weekend, President-elect Donald Trump made new tariff threats toward a number of nations, including some adversaries. The proposals include a 25% tariff on all Candian and Mexican imports, plus a 100% tariff on imports from the Brics Economic Alliance if it undermines the strength of the US dollar.

A weekend of squalls left parts of Ontario blanketed in over 100 cm of snow. The prolonged event resulted in a number of road closures, collisions and power outages, especially in cottage country.
